Aromatherapy

When using aromatherapy with either a sports or holistic, relaxing massages, oils are a welcomed addition to the treatments

Lavender is a popular essential oil as it is a multipurpose oil

Lavender has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, as well as antispasmodic, analgesic, detoxifying, hypotensive, and sedative effects. Having many positive properties, there is a condition mentioned below as well as other oils regarding this condition I feel is very important to mention.

Some essential oils may trigger epilepsy seizures, and so are not recommended for use. Essential oils that are not recommended include: Rosemary, fennel, sage, eucalyptus, hyssop, wormwood, camphor and spike lavender, lavender.

There are forty organic essential oils to choose from which makes it easier to avoid the above oils if necessary.

Once oils have been personally selected for you these essential organic oils will be added to a base oil, I have chosen four base oils which I feel that my clients benefit from. Your massage will contain at least seven oils when receiving your treatment.

Because of the skin absorbs these oils into the body, it is necessary to keep the oils on as long as possible. Between eight and twenty-four hours after the treatment. The essential oils have notes – top, middle and bottom. A selection of oils will be selected for your personal circumstances, either for general wellbeing or for any conditions you may have.

Aromatherapy plays a key role in all my treatments as the oils continue to play a role in my client’s wellbeing, after a long week working or long walks and sporting activities. A welcomed way to unwind and rebalance.

A personal treatment to suit your needs. A range of light techniques tailored to your sensitivity, for those who would like to enjoy a massage rather than endure a massage.
